A Nebraska based company called All American Meats has announced a recall of some of its ground beef products. The recall involves over 160,000 pounds of ground beef that may be contaminated with E. coli bacteria.
The products were all produced on October 16, 2015, and had a sell by date of November 3, 2015. The items all have establishment number “EST. 20420.” This can be located inside the USDA mark of inspection on the product. The particular items include the following case codes:
- 62100
- 60100
- 68560
- 68160
- 63130

A sample of the product tested positive for E. coli on October 30, 2015. No sickness has been found yet, but E. coli can lead to abdominal cramps, bloody diarrhea, dehydration, and eventual kidney failure. Any customers who may have purchased this ground beef should dispose of it and not consume it. If you have a question, you should contact Mr. Shawn Buchanan at (402) 734-6901
